Sgt. Mendenhall with Tulsa Co. Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a 16 hour FTO-Train the Trainer class on June 16 & 17, 2025
Subject: FTO-Train the Trainer is designed for senior officers who wish to become training officers in the area of Field Operations. This course will prepare the training officer for the role of guiding and training new law enforcement officers to become fully functioning field officers within their agency. This 16-hour CLEET course will cover the documentation, training styles and steps needed to successfully train those new law enforcement officers specifically for their agency and for field operations. Topics will include, why a structured field training program is needed, goals of a successful FTO program, documentation of daily observations, field notes, safety violations as well as possible remedial documentation and removal from the program when necessary. The training will be based on the San Jose Model FTO program.
This training is intended for those wishing to become Field Training Officers that are experienced in field operations.
